Vacuum Happy to Just Do Its Job Without Expectation of Happy Ending

After years of complicated relationships with owners, the household vacuum cleaner is reportedly “just relieved” to be used for its intended purpose — cleaning debris from floors — without any implied sexual overtones.

You are not going to be the guy with the bunker. Here is the next best thing: Stuff to Buy Before Everything Goes to Shit

The machine, a mid-range upright named Hoover MaxLife, says the shift to normalcy began earlier this month when its owner vacuumed the living room without a single inappropriate comment, lingering gaze, or Reddit post.

“For once, it felt professional,” said the vacuum. “No one whispered ‘you dirty little sucker’ or asked me to ‘handle the hardwoods like I mean it.’ It was just… cleaning.”

The appliance community has long endured a strange cultural association with erotic subtext, dating back to suggestive 1950s print ads and later exacerbated by internet jokes, dorm room dares, and deeply concerning Craigslist listings.

Today's questionable purchase recommendation: the "If It Fries, It Fries" tee.

“I blame euphemisms,” said a nearby Swiffer WetJet. “First it’s a ‘quick release nozzle,’ then suddenly you’re emotionally attached to a carpet attachment named Dusty.”

Appliance advocates have pushed for greater boundaries, arguing that vacuums deserve to operate in a safe, respectful environment free of double entendres and post-cleaning cigarette offers.
