Filing a Notice of Claimed Infringement

If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright, please send a written DMCA notice to our designated agent. Your notice should include substantially the following information:

  • Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, including its specific location (URL) on the site
  • Your contact information, including mailing address, telephone number, and email address

Fried Ocean maintains a policy of terminating, where appropriate and at our discretion, the accounts or access of users who are repeat copyright infringers.

Satire, Parody, and Fair Use

Fried Ocean publishes satire, parody, commentary, and other expressive works. Certain content may qualify for protection under the fair use doctrine (17 U.S.C. § 107) and other applicable law. We review all copyright notices and counter-notices individually and in good faith.

Misrepresentation

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees.

Reservation of Rights

We reserve the right to remove or disable access to allegedly infringing material, terminate repeat infringers, and take any other action we consider appropriate to protect intellectual property rights and comply with applicable law.
